Welcome to our

PSHE Parental Portal

We believe that every pupil should leave us not only with excellent academic outcomes, but also with the confidence, resilience and life skills needed to succeed in modern society. Our Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education curriculum is an essential part of achieving this, helping pupils to become respectful, responsible and well-informed individuals.

Throughout their time with us, pupils explore a wide range of age-appropriate topics including physical and mental wellbeing, healthy relationships, online safety, financial education, careers and preparation for adult life. These lessons provide opportunities for pupils to ask questions, develop their understanding of the world around them and build the skills they need to make safe, informed and positive choices.

We recognise that parents and carers play a vital role in their child’s personal development. The guidance, conversations and support provided at home complement the learning that takes place in school, creating a strong partnership that helps every child flourish.

This page is designed to provide parents and carers with an overview of our PSHE curriculum, along with helpful resources and information to support learning beyond the classroom. We hope you find it useful and encourage you to explore the materials available. Should you have any questions about our PSHE programme, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the school.

Charity Contributions

We support a number of charities and are proud of the community contributions that we make. In addition, Matrix Academy Trust is very proud to support Papyrus Suicide Prevention and last year, Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Follow the below link to find out more about how our pupils are active citizens both within school and across our Trust.

More information about our personal development provision, including wider opportunities and extra-curricular activities can be found on our school website.

Parental Engagement

We recognise the importance of sessions to support parents and carers with topics within the Personal Development curriculum. We have included a recorded copy of each session and an outline of our parental engagement session here. We have also included links to any materials or guides that were provided as part of these sessions.
