Matrix Academy Trust to Continue National SMART Response Programme in 2026
Matrix Academy Trust is proud to confirm that throughout 2026 we will continue to share our SMART Response® lockdown resources and training free of charge with schools, trusts, and education professionals across the country.
Developed from our lived experience of real lockdown incidents, SMART Response was created to support schools in implementing clear, proportionate, and practical lockdown procedures that prioritise pupil safety, staff confidence, and calm decision-making. Our work is also closely aligned with the government’s emerging Martyn’s Law guidance, ensuring schools are prepared, compliant, and ready to respond effectively should the worst ever happen.
As part of our commitment to civic responsibility and sector-wide collaboration, Matrix Academy Trust will be attending and presenting at a number of national and regional conferences in 2026, providing access to our free training modules, resources, scenario materials, and assessments.
