Barr Beacon School Mini Marathon Success

We are delighted to celebrate the fantastic efforts of pupils at Barr Beacon School, who recently took part in the Mini London Marathon in Schools during their PE lessons.

It has been inspiring to see so many young people from Years 7–9 demonstrate resilience, determination and a commitment to healthy, active lifestyles as they challenged themselves to run as far as possible within their lesson time. Events like this truly reflect the values we strive to nurture across our Trust.

We are especially proud to share that the Barr Beacon School community has raised over £1,300 in support of Papyrus, a national charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people. This is a meaningful contribution to an incredibly important cause, and a testament to the compassion and community spirit of pupils, staff and families alike.

As a Trust, we are proud to see our schools coming together to make a positive difference beyond the classroom. Congratulations to everyone involved at Barr Beacon School for making this event such a success.

Our fundraising total is now just a few hundred pounds from hitting £20,000.
