Writing
Effective teaching of writing sits at the heart of success across the curriculum. These Universal RISE webinars, conference materials, CPD suite and practical resources are designed to help schools develop a coherent, whole-school and common approach to writing. With a focus on curriculum design, pedagogy and establishing a common approach across subjects, these materials support leaders and teachers in building consistent routines, shared language and purposeful writing opportunities within the classroom.
Through a granular approach to the teaching of writing, teacher and leaders can explicitly develop the knowledge, structures and processes that underpin high-quality written communication, supporting the implementation of a robust writing strategy that drives improvement across the whole school.
Reading

Covering disciplinary literacy, common approaches to reading and oracy, curriculum design, whole-school implementation, these materials provide leaders and teachers with tools and rationale to effect change at classroom, department and whole-school level.
Curriculum Resources
An effective knowledge-led curriculum supports the embedding of sustained skills in English, and we are pleased to share with you selected resources to support progress and success for GCSE English. These resources are designed to complement an existing foundational knowledge-based curriculum, sequenced to ensure pupils have opportunities to develop and practice knowledge application, supported by specific and targeted feedback at each juncture.
